Digital Home Plan (DHP) This program allows for maximum
flexibility and choice for the residents. DSSI will install a
‘shared dish system’ that allows residents to create their own
account and select pre-approved programming packages and equipment
of their choice. The residents will be billed directly from DISH
Network at the standard residential rates. DHP provides a wide range
of programming choices for the residents and a value-added amenity
for Property Owners or HOAs.
The MDU
Residential model mirrors the programming on the residential side
including AT 100, AT 100+, AT 200, AT 250 and DISH Latino to name a few. It
was created to provide properties a single dish solution, while
giving each subscriber the ability to choose their own programming.
This option provides the property owner minimal costs and the
residents choice and value. Each subscriber will receive an
individual programming bill directly from EchoStar.
The Satellite Home
Viewer's Act of 1999 guaranteed the right of an MDU
property resident to access a Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS)
service through a dish antenna located within their own patio,
balcony, or garden.
This
model, is mainly chosen by the
property owner when they want to keep the installation of individual
satellite dish's by there tenants off the property and at the same
time giving there tenants access
to DBS service
and at the same time keeping the appearance of there property neat
and clean.
In this
model, we must first secure a DBS exclusive right of entry (ROE)
agreement from a qualified property. The ROE is the foundation for
MDU Residential. The ROE agreement will state that DISH Network / EchoStar
and DSSI have either “exclusive video” or “exclusive DBS” rights on
that property for a period of 10 years.
INSTALLATION L-Band System Network.
In
L-Band system networks, a digital satellite receiver is placed in
each unit of the commercial property. The estimated retail cost to
install the system will largely depend on the number of units on the
property and the penetration of service, the higher the penetration
the lower the cost. No two
properties are the same, factors such as property size, location,
length and type of contract, installation costs, and service
penetration within the property may all be weighed out.
Financing is available.
Prices are based on an estimation of
equipment and include an estimation of labor costs. Actual prices of
equipment and installation can only be determined by the installer
during a site survey!
